When something looks wrong

The things most likely to go wrong, and what each one actually means.

Most of what looks broken is one of a handful of things. Each answer here says what the symptom means before it says what to do about it.

My workspace is empty and I know I had records

Almost always two sign-in identities for one email address. A Google one and an email-and-password one are two different accounts. Sign out and try the other method.

If that does not work, email us before creating anything new, so we are not merging two sets of records later.

A quote will not save

It needs a client and at least one line with a price. The note under the Save button names whichever is missing.

My totals do not match what I expected

Check whether the document has a discount, a deposit credit, or tax applied. Each shows as its own line so the arithmetic is visible. A sent invoice also keeps the figures it was issued with, so it will not follow a later price change.

Net margin says 100%

That means no expenses have been recorded, not that the work had no cost. Record expenses and it becomes real.

A crew member cannot see their work

Check they have an account and that the visit is assigned to them. Work is assigned to people, not to phone numbers.

Photos taken on site have not appeared

They upload when the phone regains a connection. If the device has been offline since, they are still on it and will arrive.

Email is not reaching my customers

narra sends from its own domain by default, so this is usually a spam folder. If you have connected your own Google account, check that connection is still authorised in Settings.

The map is not loading

The Route Planner needs a connection. If it loads elsewhere but not here, the maps key may not authorise this address, tell us and we will check it.

Something changed that I did not change

Records carry a history. Open the record and check it before assuming. A second person, a second window, or a crew member on site are the usual explanations.

I deleted something by mistake

Email team@narraweb.com quickly and say what it was. Do not recreate it first. That makes it harder to restore cleanly.
