Account & settings

Your team, the services you connect, your money, and your data.

Settings is where narra learns about your business once so the rest of the product stops asking. Connectors is where you plug in services you already pay for.

What can I connect?

All of these are off until you turn them on, and all use your own account: you are that provider’s customer and pay them directly.

  • Stripe: card payments, settling to your account.
  • Google: send from your own mailbox instead of narra’s domain.
  • Quo or Twilio: text messages, under your own sending number.
  • Anthropic: optional help such as reading a receipt photo, on your own API key.
  • Meta: import leads from ad forms you run.

Disconnecting one stops narra sending anything further to it.

How do roles work?

An owner sees everything. Office staff work in the desktop app. Crew see only their own assigned work on the phone, with no money and no client list.

How do I get my data out?

Every list exports to CSV from the screen you are on, clients, quotes, invoices, jobs, as do the reports. Export while your account is active; that is when it is easiest.

How do I delete my data?

Delete individual records inside narra at any time. To have an entire workspace deleted, email team@narraweb.com from the address on the account.

We confirm, delete, and tell you when it is done. See Deleting your data for what happens to backups.

What does the pilot mean for me?

Features will change and things will occasionally break. We tell you when something material changes rather than letting you find it.

Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Does narra text my customers?

Only if you set it up. SMS is off unless it is enabled for your account and you have connected your own Quo or Twilio credentials. Messages then go out through your account, at your cost, under your number.

With nothing connected, narra sends no texts at all.

How does payroll work?

Payroll turns recorded time into pay periods. Timesheets is the current period; History is what has been paid. A locked period does not move, so a past payslip cannot change under someone.

Can I change my pay period?

Yes, weekly or every two weeks, with an anchor date. narra will not move the anchor back behind a period that has already been paid, because that would restate money already handed over.

Where do I set my business details?

Settings → Business. Name, address, phone and email. These print on every document a customer sees.

How do I change the look of my documents?

Settings → Appearance for the logo and accent, and the invoice footer for the line that closes every document.

What are snippets?

Saved blocks of text you reuse, terms, access instructions, a standard message. They save retyping the same paragraph onto every quote.

How do I add a seat for a new employee?

Settings → Team → Add member. They get their own sign-in and appear as an assignee immediately.

Is there a dark mode?

Yes, Settings → Appearance. It follows your choice, not the time of day.

How do I report a bug?

Email team@narraweb.com with what you were doing, what you expected and what happened instead. If it concerns money or missing records, say so in the subject.
